May Days

(5/1) Happy May Day! I worked from home today, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school. My heart was on the streets with the protestors today, but I didn't make it out there this time.

(5/2) We all had work and school today. This morning was a bit rocky, but we somehow managed to get everyone where they needed to be. I'm so glad it's Friday.

(5/3) River was really annoyed with me today because I had the ponies on before the derby today and crated all the pooches so I could shampoo the carpets. She loooooves watching TV, particularly anything with animals in it.

(5/4) I slept in this morning and went to Zumba. When I got home, I mowed the lawn, and did some yard work.

(5/5) I worked in the office today and Dad had the boys. We finally got what D dubbed the "zip-tied abomination" hauled off. C is consolidating project cars. This is especially good news for me since I get my parking spot back.

(5/6) I worked from home to accommodate all the appointments today. We got to sneak in a nice lunch out on the way home, which was way better than my normal grocery store grab!

(5/7) We had S and family over for dinner tonight. Dad smoked up a turkey and everything was delish! It was so good to see them all! Cass was so excited for W to blow bubbles for him. I sure wish I could find our bubble machine. It's his favorite thing ever.

(5/8) D and I got a super early start and headed to Seattle. He had his nose cauterized under anesthesia to hopefully end the awful nosebleeds he's been having. He was a trooper and wasn't feeling any pain afterward. I'm so glad!

(5/9) TGIF! It has been a week. I worked from home, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school.

(5/10) I met Sarah at our old stomping grounds for a walk to the 'bux this morning. When I got home I mentioned that we should probably go up to Nanan's to paint. C rounded up a herd to go with and they were so fun! We eventually ran out of paint and decided that was a good stopping point. I took them out to dinner as payment for their work.

(5/11) Happy Mother's Day! I spent the day doing nothing and it was lovely! I had book club this afternoon but neither of us had finished the book so it was a short one. Dad came home with some treats which we enjoyed during our shows.

(5/12) I worked in the building today and Dad had my car. He listened to the brakes, parked it on the street, and will be breaking out the Mustang a little sooner than planned.

(5/13) I worked in the building today. My coworker and I got our arms twisted and went down to Jack's BBQ to taste test their menu for a potential event...so much yum!  We may just have our next party destination!

(5/14) Dad and I had the day off together and the boys had school. He ran errands and got the Mustang all outfitted for the summer and I played in the dirt back at home. The boys and I hit WinCo, as is tradition, and picked up tomorrow's eats since it'll be a busy day.

(5/15) I took the day off today to take our guy down for further assessments. The results were inconclusive so we get to try again in six months. When we got home, I made up a Chinese food feast and we all retreated to our corners to recuperate from a day of peopling.

(5/16) I worked from home today, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school. D needed to come home early, so I told him no screens until after school is over, and he decided to clean and shine all the kitchen appliances. Kid, you are welcome to do that any time your heart desires!

(5/17) Dad had to work but I joined a friend at Category 5's release party this afternoon. Everything was delicious and it was fun to get some girl time! C worked on my brakes while I was gone and got 'er road-worthy again. So thankful to the men for making that happen!

(5/18) I woke up not feeling so hot so puttered around the house for the day. I didn't do a whole lot other than catch up on podcasts and trash TV.

(5/19) I worked in the building today and Dad wrangled the boys. After the boys went off to school, he was left unsupervised and went furniture shopping. He has a beautiful new recliner coming and we now have matching night stands. I tell ya, I'm feeling like a real adult now!

(5/20) We were all home this morning. I worked from home, D had to get some baby teeth wiggled out, J had multiple appointments, and C's school started 3 hours late. D requested Jersey Mike's for lunch, but definitely didn't care for the mamarazzi when he was trying to eat.

(5/21) Dad and I were off together and got to have lunch together after the kiddos were at school. I postponed a couple of things and had myself a proper lazy day.

(5/22) We all had work and school today. I knocked off a few hours to run J to his appointment. After much deliberation, he chose WinCo for snacks as a post-appointment destination, and we came home so I could finish out my day.

(5/23) I worked from home today, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school. I was off early for the holiday and spent my afternoon trying to find new ways to thwart the sneaky chihuahua from getting into the gated area and tromping all over my flowers.

(5/24) I went to the gym this morning and then mowed and whacked the lawn. We tried to move one of C's project cars this afternoon, but it didn't want to start so we'll have to do that next week. It was beautiful out and was perfect for sitting outside and reading my book.

(5/25) I went up to Nanan's house to take care of a few things this morning. I came home this afternoon, put on a book, and did a whole lot of nothing for the rest of the day.

(5/26) We were all off for the holiday. We were hoping to have my brother's fam over this afternoon to play cards but plans got changed and we ended up serving charcuterie to ourselves. One of these days we'll manage to get together!

(5/27) I worked in the building and Dad had the boys today. My work switches to summer schedule and I'll only be working in the building once a week until after Labor Day. Woohoo!

(5/28) Dad and I had the day off together and the boys had school. Dad ran our electronic recycling down to the center and then sat in accident traffic for hours. This time it was me who was left unsupervised and I went out and bought a bunch of new plants and changed out some seasonal pots. It was gorgeous today and broke 80°F! We went to see Steve Hofstetter tonight. He was awesome and we also enjoyed the other comedians he is touring with.

(5/29) I worked from home, the boys had school, and Dad worked at work. We are clawing our way to the finish line here. C has a few projects left and then he's done with high school! I can't believe it!

(5/30) We all had work and school today. We have made it to the end of another week ~ less than three weeks left for the twins, and even less for C. We're almost there!

(5/31) Sarah and I walked to the gym this morning for a class and stopped for coffee on the way back. Such a nice way to kick off the weekend!
