(6/1) Today was lovely. It was gorgeous out and I got to putter around the garden and listen to my book. My roses are looking b-e-a-utilful this year! I tossed the tags for my new ones on accident and have been impatiently waiting for them to bloom to see what color they are.
(6/2) It is going to be a busy week, particularly for J. Everything on my calendar is for him. I worked from home and Dad took him to his appointments today. Two down, four to go.
(6/3) I worked in the building, J was out for appointments, and the other boys had school. J doesn't seem to mind the appointments too much, especially when he gets to check out nearby restaurants.
(6/4) After the kiddos went off to school, I loaded up the lawn mower and headed up to Nanan's. I took her shopping when the battery died and I finished up after we got back. I made it home in time to do the WinCo run with the boys and then Dad and I settled in to watch our shows.
(6/5) I worked from home, Dad worked at work, and the kiddos had school. C got all dressed up for his speech and received over 100% on it. Way to go, C! I popped out for a few this afternoon to take J to counseling and then came back to meet his team for his IEP renewal. And with that, we're done with appointments for the week! Cass got some bubble time this evening. He gets SO excited whenever we open the hallway closet because it holds bubbles and tennis balls.
(6/6) TGIF! I worked from home today and Dad worked at work. I am looking forward to a weekend with nothing on my calendar!
(6/7) I slept in this morning, which was needed. I worked out front tidying up the creeping thyme bed. It was crawling with bumbles and ladybugs. Even though it often gets taken over by weeds, I'm still glad we replaced that strip of grass.
(6/9) Sarah and I met for a walk before work and school this morning. It's going to be another hot one today. Poor C has really been barking for the last few days. We forced him to go to the walk-in and he'll be on antibiotics for the next few. Blerg. What a way to spend the last weeks of school!
(6/10) I worked in the building today and Dad managed all the things at home. He helped C get his project truck towed to its new owner (thx Rob!) and ran J to counseling.
(6/11) Dad and I had the day off together today and the boys had school. I worked out in the front yard for a while and went and grabbed us lunch when it was time. Then, of course, came the weekly trek to WinCo once the kiddos got home.
(6/12) We all had work and school today. I picked J up early for an appointment and then came home to finish out my day. We're all so ready for summer and less commitments! I've already cancelled everything for next Thursday to give us all a break.
(6/13) I worked from home, Dad worked at work, the twins had school, and C went to graduation practice. He made it!! We're all so excited to see him walk tomorrow!
(6/14) The extended fam gathered to celebrate C as he graduated from high school today! We're so proud of him! He is taking the next few months to go camping and enjoy his summer before deciding on what he wants to do next.
(6/15) Happy Father's Day! Dad had to work today so we'll be celebrating next week, but I called Granddad and wished him a happy day. I had book club this afternoon and really enjoyed this month's read. C got packed up to go camping and is off with his friends for the next few days. Hope he has fun!
(6/16) I worked from home, the twins had school, and Dad had the day off. The twins got to turn in their chromebooks and came home with a bunch of goodies from the store. Almost there!
(6/17) I worked in the building and Dad wrangled the twins today. I kicked the day off with one more meeting with the school for J. Crossing fingers he can be in the same program as D next year. D has been so successful this year! D and I got to have dinner together this evening since Dad & J were off at an appointment. I got my ear talked off about the Switch and how only old people use the laughing while crying emoji. Color me old then, kid.
(6/18) Dad and I had the day off together and the twins had school. D earned Panda Express for his class and the boys came home with all kinds of treats since we're calling this the last day of school, even though they have a half day on Friday. They requested a ride in style in the Mustang with the top down on their way home. We went to dinner to celebrate a belated Father's Day and the end of school this evening at El Paraiso. We ended up bringing home lots of leftovers since everyone was still stuffed, but everything was still good the second time!
(6/19) Happy Juneteenth! The twins requested a chill day for their first day of break. D and I went and got him a haircut and did the WinCo run to stock us up on their weekly treats. C returned from camping this afternoon. He had a great time and was exhausted!
(6/20) I worked from home, Dad worked at work and the boys were all off today. I didn't hear much from them until the long commute downstairs where they all told me they weren't interested in the dinner I was cooking. Thanks, guys!
(6/21) I met Sarah at the gym for Zumba this morning. It was drizzly out and was a nice day to attempt to tune out the world. Tonight's events had me plugging back in. Y'all, I'm so tired.
(6/22) Today was a chill day at home for the boys and me. I completed operation "Thank you sir, may I have another" and cut off the spent roses on both sides of the house. They'll all come roaring back in a week or so.
(6/23) Sarah and I went for a walk before I came home to work. Dad and the twins were off for the day and C came home to sleep for a bit before he was off again.
(6/24) I worked in the building today. J and I watched A Minecraft Movie while Dad argued with J's computer. It was a cute movie and J seemed to enjoy it too.
(6/25) I was off today. The twins requested lunch out and then a trip to the children's museum. I looked back, and we haven't been since 2019! They have extensively remodeled the museum, but the twins favorites were still the same: the airplane, the water, and the bus. D requested s'mores time 'round the fire this evening. Yum!
(6/26) I worked from home and Dad worked at work. It was kind of a gray day, so we all just hung out at home and did our own things.
(6/27) TGIF! We made to the end of another week. Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday where I worked from home and Dad worked at work.
(6/28) Sarah and I went to Zumba this morning in the gray. By the time I got up to Nanan's, it was absolutely gorgeous out! C and I got the garage cleaned out, ran a few dump runs, and then had dinner out.
(6/29) It was beautiful out today. I worked out in the yard and listened to a book. This afternoon I went up to celebrate W turning 3! What a perfect day for a party!
(6/30) I worked a half day from home and then C & I headed up to Nanan's. Her appointment got cancelled, but we used the day to finish painting the downstairs. I'm ever so glad to have that project finished!
