(9/1) Happy Labor Day! The twins and I had a quiet day at home. I played in the dirt for a bit and got caught up on my podcasts.
(9/2) Today was eventful and not in a fun way. After a verryy long day and into the wee hours of tomorrow, the kiddo is back at Children's.
(9/3) Dad and I both had the day off. I tried to sleep, but only made it a few hours. D kindly had my coffee ready when I came downstairs. It was S' birthday and we took her to dinner to celebrate this afternoon before heading to visit our guy.
(9/4) I schlepped furniture up and down the stairs and made room to accommodate a desk in our front room again. I also deep cleaned the carpets, and the puppies were most unimpressed that I kept picking up all their toys.
(9/5) We received the news that J is maybe feeling a bit better this morning. After our visit, he came out of his room and belched long and loud and that's how I knew he was on his way back. We brought him puppy pictures to decorate his room and that definitely lifted his spirits.
(9/6) C and I worked up at Nanan's for most of the day. I took her grocery shopping while C worked at the house. We stopped by Half Priced Books on the way home and C picked up Hatchet for J. We had a great visit with him tonight and he's wanting to come home.
(9/7) I had a quiet day at home and Dad worked. Our neighbor was doing some work on his roof and there was no convincing Toffee that there wasn't a Corgi-eating monster outside. Dad and I met up to visit our kiddo this evening. He had inhaled Hatchet and loved it, and I was glad that I had packed more books!
(9/8) There was still something lurking outside that eats Corgis and Toffee side-eyed the neighbor's yard every time she went outside. J shared some of her pictures with the kids on his floor and she has a new fan club.
(9/9) J was ready to fast forward and skip right to tomorrow afternoon. He's so ready to come home. We've missed him!
(9/10) He's home, he's home, he's home! We're relieved! And now to figure out a new normal.
(9/11) We've enrolled J in a program that runs weekdays during the day. He was NOT excited at all to start, but overall had a good day, and we feel it will be a good fit for him.
(9/12) Day two went well. J's program caters in food from local restaurants and has made him a fan.
(9/13) Ahhh weekend. I hit the gym with Sarah and we grabbed coffee on the walk back. Dad helped set up J's laptop before he left for work and we had a low-key day at home. We even ran to the library to get some more reads, and J is set for a little bit.
(9/14) The twins and I had a chill day at home and felt ready to face the upcoming week.
(9/15) I worked from home today and was able to keep the morning chaos to a minimum. Dad was off today too and was able to run J in and back.
(9/16) I worked from home again and was pretty busy all day. It made the day fly by!
(9/17) Dad and I had the day off. C & I went up to Nanan's to do some work and of course got involved in other projects. I made it home in time to take D to WinCo before running to class. Busy day!
(9/18) I worked a half day and spent the other half meeting J's team and attending a support group for parents of teens in crisis.
(9/19) TGIF! I started my workday at home. I went into the office after I ran J in and worked until it was time to pick him up.
(9/20) Sarah and I went to the gym for a class this morning. The news was depressing and for the first time in weeks, I turned it all off and listened to a book.
(9/21) I had the opportunity to go down and meet up with my biological siblings this evening and even got to meet a cousin in person for the first time. Most of us met back in 2018 and we tried to recreate the shot tonight. What a crazy, fun night!

(9/22) I worked from home today and Dad had the day off. Dad took C out car shopping, and C is quite pleased to be the new owner of a soobie. He bought donuts as is tradition around here when new cars are purchased.
(9/23) I worked from home and Dad ran the kiddo all over. C and his girlfriend took his new car out to Leavenworth for the day. Beautiful day for it!
(9/24) Dad and I had the day off together and had a lovely afternoon. After the boys were off at school, we took the Mustang out and had some sushi and a wine tasting at Patterson.
(9/25) I worked in the office after I dropped J off. I attended another parent session this afternoon and am finding them illuminative.
(9/26) I worked in the office again after dropping J off. J required an emergency WinCo run for some more bubble gum tonight since he has newly learned to blow bubbles.
(9/27) I slept in this morning and took my podcasts outside while I did some yardwork. Our roses have been gorgeous this summer and I pruned the beast in hopes it'll give us one more flush.
(9/28) I had a day of sloth and it was just what I needed. I turned off the news and spent time in the garden again. Highly recommend!
(9/29) I worked from home and Dad had the day off. After the kiddos were at school, he smoked up a bunch of cheese and made stew. It's really feeling like fall around here now and the rain has finally returned. Much to the princess' distress.
(9/30) I worked from home today, the kiddos had school, and Dad had the day off.
