Pup-Pies

(8/1) I took the day off for my birthday. D and I met the grands for lunch at Anthony's. We enjoyed a delicious meal and sat out in the sunshine. I dropped them back at the ferry and D went home with them to spend the night. Since I was childless and near-ish to the my favorite store, I took myself shopping at the plant store and managed to escape for less than $75.

(8/2) J and I took the ferry over to the grands' house this morning to spend the day. My sister and her family came and we had a lovely day playing Uno Show 'em No Mercy & Mille Bornes. The boys and I walked on the ferry home and trekked back to the marina where we ended up parking.

(8/3) J woke up not feeling so great. Nurse Toffee sat on him to help. You will be shocked to know that cookies and pie do not a stomach ache fix, but that he gave it a try anyway. For science.

(8/4) I worked from home today and Dad had the day off. He managed to get my car in at the dealership to secure the caliper. Now it no longer knocks and does the stopping thing. Whew! Love the free labor when my son does the brakes, buuuuuut, it's helpful when he secures all the screws.

(8/5) I worked in the building today. My work peeps threw me a party for my 25th anniversary there! We had margaritas and they told their favorite Megan stories.

(8/6) Dad and I had the day off. We did our WinCo Wednesday trek, caught up on our shows, and the boys videogamed their hearts out.

(8/7) I'm taking care of a friend's animals for the next few days. I worked from home and headed out to feed this evening. What a gorgeous night!

(8/8) I got up early to take care of the animals before coming home to work. When I came down to make dinner, J had done every chore he could think of to earn money for a new game. He mopped the floors and even cleaned the bathroom! 

(8/9) I headed out to feed the animals and was treated to another beautiful day. I didn't have any other commitments other than taking care of the fur kids so enjoyed the afternoon working in the yard and puttering around the house.

(8/10) I ran out and took care of the animals this morning. The hot air balloons followed me to the farm today. I love seeing them!

(8/11) I worked from home today. It was a hot one and we mostly hunkered down inside with the a/c blasting. Dad barbecued this evening and it thankfully cooled off a bit in the evening.

(8/12) Shew, it's hoooooot! My car said 97F when I got in it after work. Gross!

(8/13) Dad and I were off today and we all went up to have lunch with my brother and fam. I brought a pretty crude (but hilarious) card game and we laughed a ton!

(8/14) It's the Oodles' 8th birthday! I got a cute lil pup-pie for the pups to share. It was a work day for Dad and me and C went hiking this afternoon. The weather is supposed to turn and we kept tabs on him to make sure he was off the mountain before it started pouring.

(8/15) Oh boy, it's princess season! It was misty out and of course the corgi didn't want to go out and do her business. Eyeroll. I, however, am loving the hint of fall in the air! I dropped off the school supplies my work gathered at the Stuff the Bus event. Can't believe it's almost time to go back.

(8/16) C and I went up to Nanan's originally to work on her deck, but it turned into other projects. We worked solidly until dinnertime and then went out to dinner.

(8/17) The boys and I had a lazy day, which I definitely needed after a long week.

(8/18) I worked from home today. We had a health scare with J and Dad took him into the ER. After a very long day, he was cleared and is feeling fine. Thank goodness!

(8/19) I worked in the building today. We took our last meeting of the day and went off-site to celebrate a couple of birthdays. It was a lovely way to end the day!

(8/20) Dad and I had the day off today. We took the twins to check-out their computers and get their updated mug shots for school. They were thrilled, lemme tell you. We took them to WinCo right after to cleanse their palates. It was such a beautiful evening that we decided to spend one of the gift cards from my work anniversary and had dinner at the Blue Water Distillery. Dinner was amazing!

(8/21) It was a work day for Dad and me and the twinadoes are enjoying the last dregs of summer.

(8/22) I worked from home, Dad worked at work, and C went up to Nanan's. He got her kitchen sparkling!

(8/23) C and I went up to Nanan's today to do some work. Nanan and I shopped for a new dishwasher and C tackled some house projects. He worked his tail off and we're making good progress!

(8/24) I woke up early and enjoyed my coffee in a quiet house. I spent some time gardening until it got too hot and then the pups and I wandered back in.

(8/25) I worked from home today. It's my last Monday working from home until after Thanksgiving--sniff, sniff! Back to the office I go after Labor Day.

(8/26) I worked in the office today and Dad had the boys. We had a meeting about a last minute placement change for J next year. Crossing all paws that this year is better!

(8/27) Poor J had a disastrous night last night and it spilled over to his day. D had a wonderful return to school. So 50/50 split.

(8/28) I worked from home today, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school. Again results were split.

(8/29) I worked from home for most of the day. We were out a few hours early, so C and I could run up to Nanan's and meet the dishwasher installer. Then he and I tackled the rest of the pantry. She took us to dinner for our efforts.

(8/30) Sarah and I walked to the gym and went to Zumba this morning. C and his girlfriend are currently binging Breaking Bad and were at the house for most of the day. It was fun to have them! 

(8/31) The boys and I had a quiet day at home. I took a turn with the TV and got caught up on my shows. Dad is thrilled that he doesn't have to watch them.
