Cabbages!

(8/15)  Hee!  Both babies have the hiccups at the same time.

(8/17) My dear, darling, sensitive hubby suggested that I take the van when he has my car next month (instead of the Saturn).  I asked him what he was tryin' to say.  He answered only with "That you're pregnant!"  LOL!  I should note here that this same hubby is starting a wine stash for October.  The countdown is on!

(8/18) Riled up the babies this morning by drinking some ice water so the coworkers could feel the alien belly. The babies are not usually early morning movers (please may they be good sleepers!?!), but I'd be awake and moving if you dumped ice water on me too!

(8/19) 30 weeks!  BabyCenter says:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)  See what your baby looks like this week.
8/18, close enough to 30 wks!
Prenatal appt: Status quo!  Another appointment in 2 wks.

Non-stress test: I have busy, busy boys.  I sat down, we got a good reading on A and had finally managed to get B on the monitor when I started to get dizzy from laying on my back.  I turned to my side, which meant we lost B and in the process of trying to track his heart rate down again, we completely woke him up.  He started punching and kicking the monitor and woke up his brother which got my whole stomach thumping.  Didn't get as much baseline activity on B because he was such a busy bee, but the tech thinks we got enough.  Back again for another on Weds anyway, if not.  The tech joked that I should come back in if I didn't feel much movement but doubted that would be a problem.
