Five Months

(3/6) Fussy day for the kiddos / work day for Dad & me.  Kathy said they took micro-naps (~15 mins) and were all out of sorts today. Unfortunately, that translated to micro-naps all night long and a whole lot of wake ups.  I was running on fumes already from last night too. Sleep deprivation sure is its own kind of torture.

(3/7) Oy.  Rough night, round 2.  I'm wondering if D is cutting a tooth.  He was up every hour last night and pretty much just screamed from 4-5am, no matter what I tried.  Thankfully, both boys took a couple good naps today and were on track for a normal bedtime.

It was preschool day for C & me, and time with Nanan for the twins.  They got to show her their new tricks and how tall they got in just two weeks.

Happy J!

(3/8)  Hey, look at that!  Instant human, just add sleep!

Dad is home with the little bits today and then Nanan will come watch them for C's hockey game this evening.  They were both still sleeping when I chatted with Dad at 8:30a.  Good boys!

(3/9) The boys had their first trip to the zoo with Kathy today.  I hear they were bundled up and fell right to sleep.  So exciting.  They were really tired tonight and started cranking like they wanted to go to sleep around 8p, so I put them down early and had a quiet night to myself.  So weird!

(3/10)  Oma & Opa dropped by today on their way to Victoria.  They must've really worn the boys out because they fell asleep around 1pm and were still sleeping when Nanan arrived to watch them this evening so Dad, Marc & I went to the hockey game.  They were asleep when we got home too.  Must be growing with all that snoozing!

Oma with J; Opa with D and the big one is C, of course

(3/11) Happy five months!  Getting to be big boys!  The boys are now well into 6 month clothing.  D is especially tall and is busting out of some of it.  J is a little stockier, so some things are still pretty long on him. So far they have sampled bananas, sweet potatoes, peaches and green beans.  J likes to blow raspberries into his food, in his earnest to eat.  D is not as keen on solids as J is, so we haven't pushed it. J, on the other hand, gets downright MAD when others are eating and he isn't.  D also has very sensitive skin and we've seen an increase in eczema this past week, so we're backing off the solids until it's back under control.

D has discovered his tongue this week and has been making raspberries.  So funny!

Today was Jamie's birthday and the twins celebrated by staying home and napping while C and I went to his party.  Happy Birthday, Jamie!!

(3/12) Work day for me and day home with Dad for the twins.  Dad is registering C for Kindergarten this Fall... Can't believe it!  They grow so fast!

Hope the boys have a great day!
