April 3rd-9th

(4/3)  Work day for both Dad & me today, although Dad's was cut short due to catching yet another (the same?) cold.  C went to go spend the night with Nanan, so it was mighty quiet at our place, especially once the little bits went down.

(4/4) Had a lovely day out with the boys.  We met up with C & Nanan and went to go visit Grandma Helen.  Helen is my adopted grandmother - she was my folks' neighbor and later watched my brother and me while my parents worked. She was so much a part of our family that we adopted her as our grandma.  She is 92 years young and still has the touch.  Boys were asleep in minutes. After our visit, we lunched at Red Robin to celebrate Nanan's birthday and then went home to spend a sunny evening barbecuing and hanging out.

Jumping is HARD!

(4/5) Work day for me & day with Dad for the little guys.  Sounded like everyone had a nice day!  J 'helped' me read stories to C, both by trying to nom on the book and by drooling on the page-turning hand.  Little goofball.

(4/6) Happy (actual) Birthday, Nanan!

The boys got to go to the zoo today with Kathy.  It turned out to be a great day for it!  Crowded, but a perfect day weather-wise.

J is pretty much ready to eat whenever we are eating, and D went the other way today and refused solids.  Well, that was until I brought out the peaches!  I think I have a fruit hound on my hands.. No, nothing at all like his mother.

Zzz....

Mmm, pepper!  (J)

Friday night partier!
(4/7) Went to Granddad's today to do Easter eggs.  It was nice enough out that the boys got to come outside with us. We had a great day.  The little boys napped, we did eggs, played cards, and stayed for dinner.

Tried avocado with D yesterday and he was not interested until I put banana in it.  Dad says he's a little fruit bat.  J, on the other hand, ate D's avocado, his own + banana and then wanted applesauce at dinner.  Those little chipmunk cheeks are getting bigger and bigger.  So cute!

J is very into his feet this week.  And he's so ticklish that you can get him laughing and rolling around just by acting like you might tickle him.  Such a happy boy!

D is into his hands.  He suddenly sees them and it's like a big surprise every time.  He is a champion thumb-sucker these days too.  He is also able to scoot off the mat when down for playtime.  He is generally going backwards, though I did discover he had scooted over to his rocker last night and was trying to eat the stabilizing bar.  Yummay!

(4/8) Happy Easter!  We had such a lovely day. C hunted (candy-filled) eggs this morning and got the day off to a sugared start.  Then we headed over to Granddad's for the big hunt (5 dozen eggs worth) and dinner with everybody.  We also celebrated cousin Audrey's 3rd birthday!  And Auntie Amber's birthday too, though it was not her 3rd.

(4/9) Happy Monday!  Back to routine ~ C is back in school, I am at work, and Dad is at home with the little boys.

J squealing! A new favorite!
