March 11th-17th

(3/11) Work day for Dad & me and Kathy had the kids.  C threw an epic fit today because everything was boring, and it was too hot out and everything was horrible and it was all the sun's fault!  ~ All because Kathy said he needed to go play instead of having screen time right after school.  Oh the horrors!  LOL!  It's actually more convenient for me when he does his screen time after work because it keeps him busy and the twins are fascinated with his computer game, so it keeps them out of the fridge and away from the stove while I'm trying to get dinner together.

(3/12) Went in to get our fingerprints done today.  Because of that appointment, I had let C's teacher know that I might be late and she said she already had a couple parents already and that if I needed to skip, that would be fine.  Freedom for the day!  It was beautiful out, so I texted Sarah and we decided on a walk to Starbucks.  We went there and back and then let all the kids play at her house between picking up kids from school and lunch.  The boys and I went home for a quickie nap and then I got them up to go get C from school.  After school we hit the park with everyone else in the city and played until we had to go home for dinner.

(3/13) Work day for me and Dad had the kids.  Oh darn, forgot to pull anything for dinner so we were forced to have pizza.  Twist.  Got my daily quota of happy kid cuddles and put everyone to bed.  Then got to spend some QT with the hubby watching trash TV.  Our favorite!

(3/14) TGIF!  This has been a long, very tiring week for me.  Today was a work day for Dad and me and Kathy had the kiddos.  I made a tasty dinner that none of the kids liked... that's kind of how my week went.  I think I feel asleep minutes after the kids went to bed tonight.  I'm will be soooo glad to sleep in tomorrow!

(3/15) It sure was weird not having hockey this morning!  We had Jor over to play early and then Colton went home with him to keep him occupied and out of his mom's hair ;)  Twinsies and I hit the library and then the park.  It started to "spill" (rain) at the park, so we came home for lunch and a nap.  I had to wake the littles at 3:45p so we could go to Jamie's 3rd birthday party.  Time is seriously flying... he's 7 months older than the littles, which means 3 is just around the corner for them too. We only got to spend a few hours at Jamie's and then had to run home so Dad, Colton and I could go to the last Silvertips game.  Tips won with a 1.5 minutes to go - awesome game!  C was exhausted from all that playing, so he half slept and mostly ignored a very intense game.  Granddad and Grandma came to watch the littles for us and they had a great time!  D, of course, did his "LIE DOWN!!!!" routine and J had a hard time going to sleep.  A combo of not liking disruptions to his routine and teething.  Those darn molars.

(3/16) Dad very nicely offered to take care of some errands for me so I could have a lazy day, but sadly they took much longer than I imagined and we ended up with an irritated Dad and a very sorry Mom.  The littles and I enjoyed our morning though and we had the perfect rainy day lunch...grilled cheese and soup.  The twins took a long nap, and I watched movies while C and Dad were out shopping for new hockey gear.  He got some brand new gear to replace the beat-up old rental gear he's used for the last 3 seasons.  He is SO excited and kept trying on his gear all night.  He even watched TV with it on!  The twins went from zero to starving when I was cooking, so dinner came off piecemeal..  And J wanted nothing to do with it, so launched his salad on the floor. Yum, floor salad!  After D coated himself in ketchup, it was bath time.  Dad picked up some strawberry shortcake for dessert, and J repeatedly asked for more (whip cream!) and D called it a "cupcake."  Pretty close, D!

(3/17) Happy St. Paddy's Day!  I am working today and Dad has the kids.  We have our second home visit tonight for licensing.  We don't have much left.  Feels like it has gone fast.

Words:

D (putting the carrot in his kitchen): All gone carrot.
Me: All done?  Oh dear.
D: Go get it!

J: D-d?
D: What?

D: No pees on the floor!
Me: Yep, no peeing on the floor.
Yay, potty training!

D: Jammies on!  Diaper on!
Me: Yep, jammies stay on and your diaper stays on.
Yay... potty training in our future.

And I'm sure glad we got the lockout function on the fridge.  D can now unlock it and turn on the water.  D also learned to climb up the play structure this week, and climbs the gate at home to turn the lights on and off.  They get into EVERYTHING now!  And getting undressed is big fun.  It's always a gamble what clothes, if any, they will have on when we go in.
