February 26th-March 4th

(2/26) The little boys were with Kathy today and it sounds like everyone had a great day.

(2/27) Busyish day for us. We had a play date with Sarah & fam at her house and then came home for a fast lunch and then school for THE C-monster. It was Kathy's week to volunteer, so I watched her younger son during the twins' nap time. The twins woke just before he was due to leave and were thrilled to see he was here!  C had a great day.  Actually, we all did.  Yay!

(2/28) I took today off since I had a few doctor appointments to go to, and they were just far enough apart that I didn't really want to work in between.  The transmission in our van is dying a slow death and was going to cost us way too much in repairs to fix, so we traded it in this week.  Dad picked out a sporty Spectra5 hatchback.  I like!  It will haul all 5 of us just fine, and actually has more room than my car does in the back.

C loves being up with his brothers, but this also means he eggs them on when they're doing things like screaming, because it's fun.  Oy.

We went out to sushi tonight because I had a Groupon.  The little boys weren't really hungry since they had had a late snack... but the rest of us polished off a lot of food and will definitely be back!  Yum!

(3/1) Wow, March already?

The twinsies were home with Dad today and then he drove them to me at work.  They got to come in and visit the office peeps.  They were pretty shy, but eventually warmed up a little.  They had scattered naps today. D napped on the way to my work, and J on the way home.  They were quite ready for bed at the normal time too.

They're getting really good at sorting shapes. Though J tends to just open the door and put the piece in the sorter, but D generally figures it out within a few tries. He fusses at it, and I'm sure that helps too.

We also have a toy car that runs when you shake it.  Something bumped it in the toy box and it started to rev up.  D picked it right up, took it to the kitchen and set it down so it could zoom.  Smart boy!

(3/2)  Fun day today!  I got everyone loaded in the car much faster than I intended to and we ended up at hockey practice about 20 minutes early.  Oops.  So I got C's gear on and doled out lunch, then freed the boys to play on the bleachers and run loops around the arena.  Once they started to get a bit frustrated when I kept scooping one up and carrying him to the other, I put them in the stroller and then we ended up with this:

Since C had a great practice, I told him we could go buy some new sand for his sandbox.  We ventured to Home Depot, and the twins thought the cart ride across the bumpy pavement was a riot!  We then stopped at the grocery store for some dinner ingredients and headed home.  I was sure the twins would nap again, but they went strong until 7p.  I put them down and didn't hear a peep.  They must have been tiiiiired.

(3/3) I ran the Hot Chocolate 15k in Seattle today, which is where the hat is from in the pictures below.  Grandma & Granddad watched the twins today while I was gone and C was at a hockey game.  I came home to two boys that were headed for a nap, and got a little quiet time before the bigger boys came home.  The littles didn't sleep long, and soon everyone was up and ripping around the living room.  The twins have both learned to climb on the couch, and we have to watch them, since they like to grab the lamp on the side of the couch, or steal the remotes, etc.  Both of them have taken spills off the couch, but I suppose it's like the train table, they have to learn.  And it's really not for a lack of watching - they are quick little buggers!

(3/4) Happy Monday!  I am working and the boys are with their dad.
