April 2nd-8th

(4/2)  Colton is staying with my mom tonight, and Sarah invited the twins and I over for dinner.  J decided I was the meanest mom ever when I rudely took him out of the playroom and forced him to eat dinner.  There wasn't much eating happening, so I gave up and let the boys down to go play.  I know they eat (a lot!), so I certainly can't say I'm worried ;)


(4/3) Jensen started today off by calling the cops.  He managed to grab my phone off of the counter, unlock it and dial 911.  He also muted it and turned the speaker on, so I had a time trying to get that sorted while apologizing profusely to the operator.  I decided we better go out before J reports me for anything else! We headed first for Forest Park where we met the girls, and we played until it was time to head up and meet Nanan for lunch and to collect Colton.  We met her at a park, so the boys got two play sessions and were pooped by the day's end.  They took naps to and from the park, and even went down for a bit longer once we had gotten home.

(4/4) Dad had the kiddos today.  Colton got to go with Mom to the children's theater this afternoon, so I barely saw him. I came home and fixed the kiddos something while Dad went out to get the the two of us something.  We played for a bit and then it was time for the kids to head off to bed.


(4/5) Work day for Dad and me, and Kathy had the kiddos.  I was greeted with "DAD!" as I walked through the door to pick them up tonight.  Uh, no, Jensen.  He mostly gets it right (I'm "Mom" or "Ma") and he calls himself "J!"  Denton was running around tonight whispering his own name.  He's also been saying "me-me-me-me" quite a bit.  J says "sit-sit-sit" and points to the ground when Denton is up on the couch, and says "go" when I've stopped the car and "boo" when playing peek.

(4/6) Swim practice for Colton this morning and we packed a picnic lunch in hopes that we could go to the park up by Nanan and bring her some birthday coffee.  Alas, the rain foiled our plans, so we ended up picnicking at Nanan's house instead.  The boys zonked on the way home, and I put them down once we returned and headed outside to do some yard work.  We got two beds planted and the dog yard cleaned up before coming back in. The babies woke soon after and then it was dinner, playtime and finally bed.


(4/7) Dad made us Dutch Babies this morning. Yum!  The littles and I spent a rainy morning playing inside while the big boys went out for groceries. After they returned, I fed the littles some lunch and put them down. J took a 2.5 hour nap and D took a 3 hour nap.  Sarah had come to pick up Colton in the meantime, so we all caught up on some much needed Zzzs.  We went out to sushi tonight.  D was very hungry and impatient for the food, and he hollered until we could silence him with yakisoba.  Oddly enough, he likes Miso soup.  J looked at me like I was trying to poison him when I gave it to him. LOL


(4/8) Monday again.. back to life as normal.  Colton is back in school this week, and Dad has the kiddos today.  And ready....go!
