June 24th-July 1st

(6/25) Vacation day for me!  I took all three boys to the bounce house this morning because it was icky out.  I managed pretty well, but was definitely thankful Kathy was also there to help me wrangle the twins when they got tired of the little kid bouncer.  I made the mistake of taking D up the big slide, and then had to keep dragging them both up and going down over and over.  Got my workout in for the day...shew!  This afternoon, we hit the park up in Camano and Nanan kept C over night.  Nice to have some quiet time with just the littles.

(6/26) Glued to the television today - yay for some great news for our country!  About dang time! Drove up to meet Nanan at 1pm to pick up C.  I figured the littles could nap there and back and then we'd be home in time for swim lessons.  After we got home, we made a quick lunch and then packed up for swim.  We thought about hitting the park after, but it opened up and poured instead.  Sigh.  It was a trying afternoon, but we all survived.  Barely.

(6/27) All of us were home today.  We took turns doing various errands before we leave tomorrow and I had book club with the ladies this evening.

(6/28) Headed out camping today. We're off to Salmon La Sac this time.  Had a delicious lunch of peanut butter crackers for lunch on the way.  Got in & settled and hit the river, and played around camp.  Dinner was stir fry with sausage and fresh corn.  Yum!  D nibbled on his cobs until he got every last kernel while J tried to eat the end, and wasn't really interested in it when it was on the cob.  After dinner was some more wandering around and visiting.  The typical camping stuff.

(6/29) Breakfast feast this morning of sausage and eggs. The boys gobbled it all up!  After a quick trip to the river, we packed up for our "adventure" into town.  We hit the Cle Elum Railway Interpretive Museum and while we were there, smelled some fantastic BBQ, so we were forced to wait for Smokey's to open. We ate WAAAAY too much food, and the littles got to try ice cream again.  This time J approved, as long as he got control of the spoon.  After we got back, we attempted a nap, but D had taken a car nap, so refused.  C and I wandered down to the river and left Dad with a restless D and a napping J.   After we got back, we putzed around a little bit and then it was time for dinner.  C chose tacos--a camping first for us!  The boys loved every bit of it, and there were no leftovers.  After the littles went to bed, we headed over a dessert buffet in a neighboring site.  I had to come back and re-settle the littles once, but then it seemed they were down for good.  Well, that was until C went to bed.  Then they were cackling, saying "Tickle-tickle-meow" and giggling.  So much for sleeping.  They didn't go down for about an hour after C went down and I had come in to read.

(6/30) Sleepy kiddos this morning.  Guess all that late night partying is tough on a toddler.  We stayed at the camp site all day today and attempted this lazing about thing we've heard about, while chasing the shade.  Not so much lazing with the twinsies, but we had a good afternoon.  The boys are really starting to figure out camping and when nap time hit, they were very ready to go in for a nap.  I actually managed to read today and enjoyed sitting and chilling.  Very nice!  Fancy dinner of Tuna Helper tonight along with rice tonight.  The boys are very in to feeding themselves, but did a fair job of getting most of it in their mouths. D woke several times tonight--I think because he got cold--but went back to sleep fairly quickly after being covered.  D calls the lights "bah?" and asks for them to be turned on every time he sees one.  Funny guy.

(7/1) Back home today.  We packed up camp after we woke up and were on the road by 9am.  We're nothing if not efficient.  We, of course, had to make a stop at the Cle Elum bakery and pick up a little something for the trip. Got home and unpacked and will be hosing off the boys later in the pool out back, and C has swim lessons in the real pool here in town.  We did have him shower off some of the dirt first.
