(9/3) Last day of freedom for C. The boys went to Kathy's for the day and Dad & I worked. I picked them up and C played video games while I got dinner together. Tuesday evenings are such a blur and before I knew it, it was the twins' bedtime.
(9/4) Home today and C's first day of first grade! We piled in the car to take him to school. We walked him to where they line up and a few minutes later, he was whisked away. Very anti-climatic. Dad called out of work because he was feeling poorly, so we had a lazy day at home coughing our lungs out. Ugh. School has just started and we're already sick. This doesn't bode well! C had a great day and was in a great mood tonight! We watched Despicable Me again... for the bazillionth time and had a nice evening together.
(9/5) Hack-hack-groan. Mama down! I stayed home sick today. Dad took the big guy to school and I bummed around the house for most of the day. I was finally feeling well enough to venture outside this evening, and left the littles with Dad and took C out for a walk with Sarah & Jor. They had a great time, but man were they nutty! I went up and kissed the littles goodnight and J was MAAAAD. I usually put them to bed, and Dad putting them down at night was totally out of their routine.

(9/7) Whew, I still do not feel good, so it was a stay-in-your-jammies kind of day today. Since the littles are now eating at the big kid table, I cleared off ours of ye olde bib & washcloth pile. I cycled out the Duplos (& stole their basket) and brought out all the tools (tool box/Handy Manny, etc). The boys had the best time playing--and even played nicely all together! I'm thinking snack at the big table is one thing, but D was on top of the table the second I turned around, so a full dinner might be a bit down the road. Especially when it's pot roast with side of applesauce. Messy-messy-messy!
(9/8) Dad made us Dutch Babies this morning since it was finally cool enough to cook them. Yum! C and I headed out for a hike at Lord Hill with Sarah & Co after breakfast and the littles got to stay and play with Dad. They were down for a nap when we returned. Jor came to play video games with C, so they did that while I read my book. The twins are loving playing with the tools, and are very helpful in picking things up after throwing them and yelling "NO THROW!"
(9/9) Happy Monday! The littles are with Dad, C has school, and I'm off to work.
