Two!

(10/8) Work day for Dad & me, and Kathy had the boys. All three of them don't want to come home now.  The bikes are just too much fun.  Time to get tricycles!

(10/9) Lucky little boys got to go to story time at the library with Granddad and Grandma, then to the park, and then out to lunch!  Sarah said Granddad & Grandma had them well corralled at story time, unlike their mother who always has at least one on the loose. I volunteered in C's classroom this morning and then met them for lunch.  After lunch, I had an appointment for my foot... sigh, still benched.  And then I went to grab C while the twins were snoozing.  We wore out the grandparents this morning, but I know they loved it.  The littles had so much fun!  We met Sarah this evening for a walk on the river trail, and C rode his bike the full three miles!  Nice going C!

(10/10) Work day for me and the boys were with their dad. It took me forever to get home tonight, so I didn't see a whole lot of the boys. They had a nice, lazy day with their dad though, I hear.

(10/11) Happy Birthday to my sweet boys! Both Dad & I worked today, but they got spoiled with a cupcake from Kathy, and I picked up some balloons to celebrate.  They were a big hit! D is getting pretty good at putting things together ~ he told me on the way home: "Go-go-go-Mama-D-d-need-linner! Hungry!"  Alrighty then!  It was leftover night, so after a quick warm-up, linner was served!

(10/12) Early morning for J.  I changed out the music in his bear last night to some of the children's songs he likes, but I didn't think he'd wake, turn on his bear and then get frustrated that the normal lullabies weren't on there.  He SCREAMED, threw his bear, threw his pacifier, and threw the other bear that I hadn't changed. Fortunately, he did finally settle down when I turned off the offending bear and put it in D's crib.  I just left and hoped he would go back to sleep, and thankfully he did for a bit.

Despite our early start, it was pumpkin day!  Granddad and Grandma picked us up and we headed out to the farm to pick out this year's pumpkins.  I found three pairs of rubber boots from when C was little, and while D kept his on just great, J's kept falling off, so after he got his feet all wet while we were looking for pumpkins, I slipped him into shoes for the rest of the activities.  Should have done that for D too. Do you know how hard it is to carry two children and try to keep a pair of boots on?  Particularly when they're tired and squirmy?

The twins were so good--really!  They played in the playhouse for hours, did the corn bin, met the goats (J says they're puppies), and D learned the words 'goat' and 'turkey' today, but now he thinks his boots are goats.  They sound about the same, right?  We hit a Mexican restaurant for lunch and J ate salsa with a fork, before giving up and just trying to drink it.  He stole my fork and started eating off my plate after they had nearly polished off a huge quesadilla and several baskets of chips between them.  We didn't get home until after 3pm, and J took a super quick nap, but D was up and grooving to his bear's new music.  At least someone appreciates my efforts!  They were wired for sound all evening long and *I* was totally done by bedtime.

(10/13) Lovely day with my fam!  Sarah, Granddad and Lori and I all had a race this morning.  Because I am still not allowed to run, I walked the 5k and everyone else did the 10k and had a great morning.  Sarah brought over birthday presents from her family and Nana.  We all had a good laugh when we figured out we could put the vehicles in the farm puzzle base and the airplane baaa'd at us.  Too funny!  The twins will love those boats too - they are very in to putting things together.

We met up with the fam to celebrate the twins' birthday.   Aunt Shannon brought them balloons (or "birthdays!" as D calls them) and the twins got gifts of snow boots/coats, fun sweaters (that we left at home due to the salsa drinking I knew would be happening...), books and great cards from Granddad & Grandma and Nanan.  The twins ate their weight in chips & dip, and then proceeded to whack two kids' meals too.

Lucky little boys to have such a crowd that loves them so much!

We are all kinds of classy around here.
Trying to keep the bubbles in the air.
(10/14) Quick work-week for me this week - just today and then I'm off for a week and a half!  We have a field trip planned to visit Oma & Opa this weekend, and I'm sure we'll figure out some other things to do.
