Cake By the Ocean

Me: So D, what will help you stay in bed at night? Do you need a sticker, or prize?
D: I just need cake.

Me: Do you boys remember when they guys came out and washed our house?
D: And if it is so big, will it still fit?
Me: Huh?
D: And the car wash needs to be gianter, so the treehouse will fit.

J: I just don't like it when the world 'splodes!

(5/28) The decision was made to get C a phone. He has been having a lot of fun with instant messaging and email. I worked my butt off outside, and got all the landscaping in front tidied up.

(5/29) The boys, Nanan, and I went to go visit some friends on Whidbey.  It was chilly, but the boys still had a great time! The boys made a zombie-proof shelter, because one must always be prepared for the apocalypse. They created several versions, and moved it a number of times.  Then they discovered clams, and all shelter construction stopped to dig 'em up.  We brought home quite a few.  Dad bought more clams and some lobster tails for dinner, and treated us to a feast.

(5/30) Memorial Day ~ The boys and I had the day off today, and Dad had to work.  Granddad took C fishing this morning.  They caught one, but it was too small to keep. Next time. The littles and I worked around the house today.  When Granddad got back, he mowed the lawn, and then we all went out for Mexican (and more importantly, margaritas!) to cap off the day.

(5/31) Work day for Dad & me, and the boys were at Amanda's.  She took them to the Y, and it looks like they had a blast!

(6/1) Day off for me, and work for Dad.  I took the littles to the gym, and then we came home and put on swimsuits to join some friends at the spray park.

(6/2) Work day for me, and Dad had the boys.  I left him at home with the truck and the desire to go to IKEA.  They stopped by my work to join me for lunch, and then headed down.  They managed to escape with only what they went for, plus some ideas for the new house.  I met them at the gym after work for Zumba, and Dad took C to hockey.  C was on fire tonight and got a hat trick!

(6/3) Work day from home for me, and Dad had the kiddos.  We ran over to sign on our house this morning, but due to all documents not being in, we won't get keys until Monday.  Harrumph.  But yay for being almost done!

(6/4) Busy work day around the house for us.  Granddad and I worked on cleaning up the yard, and Dad ran another load to the dump. Thanks again for the help, Granddad!  One thing I'm definitely looking forward to in the new place is the lack of landscaping. Gardening is not my favorite, and less of it is welcome.  I turned the sandbox into a pool today, since it no longer has any sand, and the boys lounged poolside with their banana-orange smoothies.

(6/5) Shew, warm today!  We hit the park early with Sarah and her kids, and then ran to Target for snacks and a birthday present.  I did a little work after we got home, and C ran around making zombie videos starring himself and the twinsies. We went to a superhero birthday party this afternoon at the park ~ super cute, and super hot!  C hit the piƱata so hard that the stick broke.  Whoops!  We were all melting, so I stopped for slurpees, even though the boys were already sugared up and crazy.  I really got nothing done house-wise today, but I feel okay about it.  I can't really do much more til we're a little closer to the actual move (next Saturday).

(6/6) Work day for Dad & me, school for C, and the littles are with Amanda.  We get KEYS today! Wahoo!!  Busy week of painting our new place, moving, and prepping our old place. Our old place is being painted today too. Fortunately, we have great weather for it!
