The Countdown Is On!

Neighbor girl: My mom is a girl!
J: And my dad is a boy!
Uhh....

Me: I'm a mom zombie, and I will have Dentons for breakfast! Rawr!
J: That's just a joke right?
D: Yeah, that's just a joke.
Me: No it's real, I'm a mombie.
D: No, you're not, because you don't have that zombie look about yourself.
Thanks?

Gaming ~
C: They need to mate!
D: Why?
C: That's how we get new ones. Don't you want babies?
D: NOOOOO!

D says my sparkling water drinks have "no calories and no flavor," but when Dad got a green tea drink at Jersey Mike's, declared that one as having "no calories and all the flavor!"

(5/19) Dad and Rob had a workin'-on-cars day.  I took a Zumba class this morning, and walked to and from the gym, while the boys played screens at home. C went to a friend's birthday party this afternoon. I took the twins to get Slurpees to enjoy at the park on the way home.  D keeps yelling part of the Star Spangled Banner ("OH, SAY CAN YOU SEE!") from on top of the slide.  He says he learned it at hockey.  LOL!

(5/20) We picked up C this morning, and had a lazyish day at home other than that.  We walked down to the park to ride bikes and get out of the house this afternoon.

(5/21) Sheeeew, today was a D-saster. I worked from home today, though I spent most of it at the school.  They tried to keep D at school today, and managed to, but yeeeeaaaah, it was ugly. I also discovered today that our dryer was no longer heating.  Three boys + no dryer = FUN!

(5/22) I worked from home again today to deal with the school antics.  D only made it a few hours before being excused.

(5/23) Day off for me, and even with me there, we only made it to 10:30a at school.  Not cool, D!

(5/24) We kept D home today to meet with a new counselor. The other two boys and I walked the dogs to school this morning. They've missed the walks as much as I have!  J's kindergarten concert tonight was adorable.  It was fun to spend some time 1:1 with J, but made me sad that D wasn't there too. D got to go appliance shopping with Dad instead of going to the concert.  Sounds like they got a pretty good deal!

(5/25) Work day for me, day off for Dad, and school for the boys. Another banner day for D at school today. Mumble, mumble. Dad and C headed out for the Jalopy in BC this afternoon, and I was loosed early from work in advance of the holiday weekend.

(5/26) We made it to the weekend! I decided we needed to go somewhere new today.  The twins and I popped down to the beach for a few hours before lunch today. I had fun taking pictures while the twins played.  J says we need to come back every day because we need to take care of the sand castles.

(5/27) Dad and C got in at 2am this morning. The old tires on their rig just weren't going to make the rest of the Jalopy, so they headed on home.  I took the twins to Home Depot this morning to get some more rock for my back yard.  I loaded the car up, and we stopped by the spray park to play for a few hours, and then came home for lunch. Dad had bought a tabletop BBQ, so made up some hot dogs, and skewered chicken. I took the twins down to the park after dinner and sat in the sunshine while they played.

(5/28) I took the twins to the spray park this morning after screen time.  We were going to hide all our painted rocks in the trails, but had to leave abruptly after D made a choice that landed him in his room for the rest of the day.  The rest of us broke out the little BBQ bucket again, and enjoyed the first s'mores of the season.  Yum!

(5/29) Dad had a stupidly early shift (beginning at 4am) today.  I got the boys off to school, and had just barely made it to the freeway when the school called.  Dad had to go pick up the D-monster, and D had to go to work with him.  He had a very boring day.

(5/30) I went to school with D this morning, and was there all day. He made it through today and was very excited to have s'mores with us tonight as a treat.

(5/31) Work day for me, school for the boys, and day off for Dad. We had a bunch of appliances delivered today (range, washer, & dryer), and I can't tell you how excited I am to wash AND DRY clothes!  D had an appointment after school today, and we all went to dinner at the Olive Garden after that.  Yum!

(6/1) Work day for me, school for the boys, and Dad had the day off.  Day 3 for D in school!  Woot!  He had another appointment after school today.  More changes.  We'll see how this goes.  I took the twinsies to the end of the year bash at their school. They had lots of fun! Twelve more school days. Not that anyone is counting.

(6/2) Dad made us Eggs Benedict this morning.  The twins decided they didn't like it, even before tasting.  Stinkers.  Neither could be coaxed to eat much, so they were pretty hungry come lunch time.  Dad made rock rings for our new tart cherry trees out back, and then went to go pick our seats for next year's hockey season.  After he got back, we piled in the car to go to the dog beach.  Dad had never been, so it was fun to take him.  C is spending the night at a friend's house this evening, and I'm sure he'll have a great time!

(6/3) Lazy day for us today.  We have very loose plans, which is always nice on a Sunday.
