Spring Cleaning

(4/1) Nanan had one last appointment to conclude the whole cat bite saga (not from the very sweet kitty-boy below). It wasn't really necessary because her surgery site has healed up beautifully, but we went and did the thing as instructed.

(4/2) I had a meeting at the school bright and early this morning for D. I had to laugh, it had already been rescheduled once and his teacher ended up calling out again today too. We fumbled our way through and I headed home to settle in and work.

(4/3) I called the boys out of school today because it's the Friday before spring break and they had a half day. Dad and D went on a fieldtrip to RE-PC and I worked from home for most of the day. I drove up for Nanan's appointment in the afternoon. We went down the hill to share a glass of wine once it was over. It was the perfect temp to sit outside.

(4/4) What a beautiful day! Sarah and I went for a walk in the sunshine this morning. I broke out the power washer and cleaned the back patio. It's one of the most satisfying spring chores! Dad and I enjoyed some vino out by the fire this evening, or we tried to until my recently power washed chair gave up the ghost and suddenly I was wearing my wine rather than sipping it. Ouch.

(4/5) The twins and I hopped on a ferry and went over to the grands' house for Easter. C & F were able to join us for lunch and my brother's fam was there as well. It was a lovely day full of good food and lots of laughs. And definitely enough eggs for dayyyyys.

(4/6) The boys are on spring break this week. We don't have any plans and they seem content to  just hang at home. I worked in the building today and Dad was home with the kiddos.

(4/7) Dad and I had work today and the boys were off. I went and picked up pizza for dinner as is tradition on Tuesdays.

(4/8) Dad had an appointment this morning and I found myself with a free hour and nothing to do. So what's a girl to do but go plant shopping! I got my sweet peas and a few other things and spent the afternoon planting.

(4/9) I worked from home and went to medical appointments for two of the boys. It was good to see C this afternoon and we snuck in a late lunch out. Sarah and I made it to a class this evening at the gym and it was really fun! I haven't been to an evening one in a while.

(4/10) I worked from home today and met Sarah at lunchtime for a coffee walk. Everything is blooming and I'm really enjoying watching the garden wake up.

(4/11) We had Nanan and the kids over to celebrate Nanan's birthday. Level 8 now! We ordered in and had a low-key afternoon.

(4/12) I slept in a little today and then Sarah and I met for a walk. The boys and I had a quiet day at home. Dad had to work, but was home in the evening and we got to catch up on our shows.

(4/13) Nanan had an appointment this morning so I ran up north to take care of that, and then came home to work for the rest of the day.

(4/14) I worked in the building today and Dad worked at work. I thought I had timed it right to meet the boys as they were getting out of school, but they snuck by me. It wasn't terribly rainy out so they survived and weren't too annoyed.

(4/15) Dad and I had the day off together. I ran some errands and encountered all the weather. It was hailing so hard that it looked like it snowed! With the bananas weather, we decided to have lunch inside and went to the Muse for coffee and then to the Choux Choux bakery for treats.

(4/16) I worked most of the day from home and took the afternoon off to run J to his appointment.

(4/17) I worked from home, Dad worked at work, and the boys had school today. It has been a LONG week and I am beat.

(4/18) I finally got to the gym for a class this morning and then ran up to Nanan's. We are having a wall repaired and re-sided up at her house so we met with a company to get that ball rolling. C, F, and I headed out shopping next. We hit Costco and WinCo and they should be set for a minute.

(4/19) It was gorgeous out today! I did some yard work, mowed the moss out front, and tidied up the back. J and I put together a new outdoor modular sofa and Dad and I sat outside this evening and enjoyed it with no disasters this time!

(4/20) Weekends always fly by too fast. We all had work and school today.

(4/21) Nanan had a doctor's appointment this morning and we went out for breakfast afterward. I worked from home this afternoon and had a short commute down the stairs when I finished for the day.

(4/22) Dad and I had the day off together. J had an appointment this morning and was pretty drained afterward, so I called him out. School is always extra hard this time of year.

(4/23) Finally a dry morning for a walk! I dusted off the pollen that we've been watching pool on top of the new cushions for the last few days. J didn't make it to school today, but finished constructing the rest of the patio furniture, and I was able to set it out this afternoon. I love it!

(4/24) TGIF! I worked from home, Dad worked at work, and both boys went to school today. I saw that the library had started up the teen D&D group again. I took J and he found his character in the respawning fridge right where he left him!

(4/25) I went to the gym for a class and then made my way up to Nanan's. C decided we should work in the back yard and attempt to tackle the jungle. We contemplated renting some goats to make our job easier, but ended up going out to buy power tools. We didn't get too much done, but ran a load to the dump.

(4/26) The boys and I had a quiet Sunday at home. I caught up on my podcasts and worked a little in the yard.

(4/27) I worked in the office and Dad was off today. He was out running errands over by my work and stopped in to deliver breakfast burritos. Yum!

(4/28) I worked in the building again and had all the meetings. Dad had the day off and the twins had school.

(4/29) Dad and I had the day off together and we did fun adulting things together like grocery shopping! I bought more plants and put in a few hours tetrising everything and weeding the front beds. It got warm out and the twins pretty much melted in the door and didn't even want to go out for a WinCo run.

(4/30) I took today and tomorrow off and gave myself a five day weekend. I purposely didn't plan anything, because something always seems to come up. J woke up super snarfy so he was off for the day. Poor bubs was pretty miserable all day. Hope he feels better soon!
