January 29th-February 4th

(1/29)  Work day for Dad & me.  After I got the kids home, I made them dinner.  J promptly threw everything on the floor, and got himself ejected from dinner.  He threw the biggest tantrum, complete with falling on the floor and screaming. Yay toddlers! He got to come back to the table after a bit, and didn't throw any more of his food.

We looked back at videos of C from around this age and laughed at the mini mes we have today.  This is C in 2008, around 12 mos.

(1/30) I volunteered in C's classroom today, and Nanan came to watch the kiddos. She joined us for a very messy dinner of meatballs and mashed potatoes, which the boys wore more than ate.  Definitely bath night! Having an extra pair of hands allowed me to cook dinner, get laundry done, and get the boys bathed in relatively short order.

Dangit, Amazon!  I have been looking for a 12-month picture frame for the twins, but the one that I got for C seemed to be discontinued or really expensive, and Amazon helpfully sent me a notice of when it was on sale.  How could I not?  Now I have a project ahead of me!  I'm sure I have the pictures, but finding ones small enough to fit will be the issue.

D in front of the crib we hoped would sleep
both twins when we camp this year. Yeah, not so much.
(1/31) Dad had the kiddos today while I was at work.  I came home to dinner and a nice evening with the men. The big boys watched hockey, and I pretended to eat all the food that the little boys brought me.  I had to put the carrot up after D gagged himself on it.  Ew.

(2/1) Work day for Dad & me, and Kathy had the boys.  I made breakfast for dinner and the boys got some spoon practice.  J is really quite good at it, but couldn't resist after I refilled the applesauce cup with yogurt and went hands-in.  D just threw the spoon on the ground and dug in.  That's my boy!

(2/2) Hockey practice today was moved back until smack in the middle of nap-time.  Sigh.  I packed the littles a lunch and hoped they would stay awake on the drive over.  D  fell asleep, but J stayed awake.  We got C on the ice and then had some lunch and I walked them around.  J fell asleep about mid-way through and D got antsy, so I let him out to climb stairs for a bit.  He thinks that is a hi-larious game!  Got the boys home and let them play for a few hours and then they started to look tired so I took them up.  J talked for about 40 minutes, and just when I was ready to give up, all was quiet.  They slept for a few hours and were rudely woken up when the biggun had a temper tantrum. Oh well, it was getting on close to dinner time anyway.  Nanan is coming to watch them this evening so C can go play a mini-game during the Totem's intermission.  Cool!

Jensen now says "BARK!" really loudly, and D says "dog."  D started to fuss this afternoon, so J went over and patted his mouth, like he wanted him to shush.   D, the stinker, figured out how to open the drawer beneath the oven yesterday and happily pulled out skillets and metal pan lids to crash loudly on the floor.  I have bungeed up the drawer. We'll see if it holds.

(2/3) It's a hockey kind of weekend.  C has yet another game today.  Dad took him to this one, and I got to bum around with the babies and go through pictures from last night.  I plan to visit Granddad later today while the babes are napping and beyond that, I don't have much planned.  Yay for lazy Sundays!

(2/4) Monday again... oh boy, oh boy.  Dad has the boys and I am at work.

C & J have fevers, so it will be a stay-home kind of day.  I hope they feel better soon.
