A Noise with Dirt

(5/26) Work day for Dad & me, school for the bigs, and Sarah had the boys.  After work, Sarah and I met up at Sbux with the bigs to go walk the track at the teen's school.  The boys were maniacs, so I'm glad we got them out to run some more, and it's always good to chat with my girlfriend!

(5/27) Work day for Dad, and I had the kiddos.  I took the littles to gymnastics and met Sarah & Grandma there.  After gymnastics, we headed over to a new park (to me) and let the the boys play until they were picking out spots to lie down and rest.  Nanan came in the afternoon and watched the boys for me until Dad got home, while I ran the teen out to her appointment and then to visit her grandmother.

(5/28) Work day for us, school for the bigs, and Sarah had the boys. We went out to dinner at B-Dubs tonight.  It was very loud in there.  They have tablets for the kids to play on, and I had to laugh when everybody was on a device except for me.  We all ate too many wings and had a good time.

(5/29) Work day for Dad and me, school for the bigs, and Sarah had the boys.  Dad picked them up after work and I got dinner started while Dad ran C out to the library.  The teen was furious at me this afternoon, and hid up in her room. Because homework.  And teenager. Whatever.  I can play that game too, and put my headphones on.

(5/30) The boys had swim lessons this morning and took turns crying with another little boy.  The whole getting your head wet thing still doesn't go over well with J.  In part, I think they were sympathy crying because when one twin gets hurt, the other cries in support or is "hurt too."  Team effort kind of thing.  After swim, the little boys suggested a picnic, because we did it once, so now a picnic must always follow swimming. Dad dropped us off and the twins played out back until he came back with picnic supplies.  During the twins' nap time today, I ran out to the store to grab some mulch and some new chairs for the yard to replace our broken ones.  We're spending more and more time out there, so might as well invest a little to make it nice! We had our gaming group over in the evening and the twins ate their weight in veggies.  C reappeared for game time, but has otherwise spent every last second out playing Pokemon with a neighborhood friend.  The teen worked on her room, so it looked a little less like a tornado had blown through.

(5/31) I went for coffee today with another foster mom.  It's nice to have someone to compare notes with and to vent to; someone that knows exactly what you're going through.  The teen went to her visit and was gone for the morning.  After I got back, I took the opportunity to laze around and do nothing while she was out and the twins were sleeping.  Must always be time in a weekend for that!  After dinner, I took the kiddos out in the yard to get them good 'n filthy before giving them a bath.

(6/1) Work day for me and Dad is still off enjoying a 4-day vacation.
